Herbert Ralph Williams Jr.

Williams, Herbert Ralph, Jr., - 98, of Brigantine, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022. Ralph was born in Philadelphia to the late Herbert and Christine (Mitchell) Williams. Ralph proudly served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII and the US Air Force when he was recalled for the Korean war. He was an aircraft mechanic and inspector. He received his basic training in Atlantic City. He served in Italy during WWII. Ralph served at various Air Force bases in the United States, including McGuire AFB in New Jersey, and in Japan in the mid 50's, during his 22-year career in the military. Ralph was an avid amateur photographer and he also enjoyed working on boats. He was employed by Egg Harbor Boat Company in Egg Harbor City. He was a member of VFW Post 6964, American Legion Post 396 and 463 Bomb Group. He enjoyed having lunch and spending time at the Brigantine Senior Center. He is survived by his children Herbert C. Hofstetter (Kathleen), Glenn R. Williams and Ralph S. Williams (Sherry). He is also survived by his grandchildren Andrew, Amanda, Kristy, Teagan, Bryan, Brandon, Cheyenne, Logan, Kaden and 9 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife Patricia M. (Jones), his first wife Ruth M. (O'Donnell) and his daughter Debra Williams. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Life Celebration viewing for Ralph on Friday evening from 7 to 9pm and Saturday from 10 to 11am at the Keates -Plum Funeral Home, 3112 Brigantine Ave Brigantine. Funeral Service will follow at 11am at the funeral home. Interment with military honors by the Last Salute Military Honor Guard will be at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Estell Manor.
