Losing someone close to you is a painful, hurtful thing to experience. Someone who became a meaningful part of your life. But you are only saying goodbye, farewell, to the physical body. That person you could touch, hold, and hug only a short time ago. Try to remember that you are saying goodbye to the body, not the spirit. He will continue to live in your memories and your dreams. In that sense he will always be with you. Embrace him in your thoughts. He was a part of your life and will remain in your mind and heart. There will come a time when it will be our time to move on, pass on to a better place. So let us learn to rejoice in the time that we have in this life. Of course it's easier said than done. For a time, there will be grief, sadness, and hurt, where you will rely on one another for support and caring. It will not be a happy time for all of those involved and it won't be easy to get over, but I know that you will. Please accept my sincerest condolences because I feel the loss as well.

Also proud to have worked with Horace. He was a kind and gentle soul and always a pleasure to be around. A sad loss for his friends and family here but truly a gain for Heaven.

I am sorry to hear of Horace's passing. I remember (with a smile) how he was such an expert on old school music. Enjoyed the time I worked with him at Bally's telephone room. He will be missed by all. My sympathy to all of you he has left behind. May God keep you in his loving care.

To Horace's Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you as I know his passing will leave such a void. I am so sorry to hear the sad news. A nicer man I never met! I had the pleasure of knowing Horace for the nearly 18 years I worked at Bally's Park Place. When you say he liked everybody I would have to add that everyone liked Horace! And when you say he loved his family, Lord knows he did. And he loved to brag on y'all to we, his friends and coworkers, proudly and often. Even if you didn't see him, you knew he was around when he spoke with that great falsetto voice you mention. And he was alway's willing to listen as well. Horace was known to be a compassionate and caring friend to those he worked with over the years. Although it saddens me terribly to be reading his obituary today, I am heartened by his memory. He was not only a gentleman but was a gentle man..And although it is certainly too soon I am sure, unquestionably, that he is now enjoying a well-deserved reward sitting at the right-hand of our Lord and savior. I am picturing him as being so happily reunited, once again, with his dearly beloved Mother. For he always spoke so highly of her.
My prayers are with you, his family, at this time. But as for Horace, he doesn't need my prayers for he is now at home with the Lord.
I will see you again one fine day, my friend, when we are all reunited. Youthful, healthy, and in full vigor once more, for Eternity....
In Sympathy, I remain,
Sincerly yours,
David Behr
