HUGH A. ROBERTSON

ROBERTSON, HUGH A. 90 - of Cape May and formerly of Somers, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, Sept. 25, 2010, in the comfort of his home. Hugh was born in Dumbarton, Scotland, and immigrated to the United States at the age of seven with his family. A resident of New York for most of his life, Hugh and his wife, Cecilia, moved to Cape May in 2001. Hugh's professional career was at Union Pacific Railroad where he served as a traffic/logistics manager. He was a proud and devoted member of Alcoholics Anonymous for more than 42 years and was a founding member of the AA Chapter in Somers, New York. Hugh is predeceased by his beloved wife Cecilia M. (nee Hursch) and will be missed by his extended family and devoted friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Oct. 1st at 1:00pm in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 525 Washington St., Cape May. There will be a viewing on Friday from 11:30am to 12:30pm in the Sudak-Danaher Funeral Home, 815 Washington St., Cape May. Interment will be held privately in St. John's Cemetery, Middle Village, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Hugh's memory may be sent to Holy Redeemer Hospice Care, 1801 Route 9 North, Swainton, NJ 08210.
