James Smyth Obituary

Smyth, James E., - 93, of Cape May Court House, NJ, passed away January 4, 2022. He was born the oldest of 9 children in Bronx, NY to the late James and Mary Smyth. James served in the US Navy from 1953 to 1957 where he met his wife, Mary Patricia, who predeceased him in 2012. He went on to work as Vice President of Finance for Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital and was the longtime owner of Whispering Woods Motel. James is survived by his sons: James (Ma.Fe), Kevin (Patricia), and Frank (Debbie) Smyth; grandchildren: Sarah, Samantha, Melissa, Rebeccah, and Frank Jr.; great-grandchildren; and dear friend and companion Patricia Trepp. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Our Lady of The Angels Church, 35 East Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Viewing from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Mass will start at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Cape May County Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in James' name to The Cape May County Park and Zoo, PO Box 864, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Condolences at www.radzieta.com
