LeROY STITT Obituary
STITT, LeROY H. 76 - of Rio Grande passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Canarsie, NY, he has been a Cape May area resident most of his life. LeRoy was a stone mason working throughout the Cape May area. He served his country in the US Army and was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church of Goshen. LeRoy is survived by his wife of 53 years Shirley (nee Justice) Stitt; his daughter Wendy (Timothy) Myers of Del Haven; and his daughter Melody McQuillan of Rio Grande. Also surviving are: his sister Margaret Elliott of Goshen; his brother Leon Stitt of Goshen; his brother Robert Stitt of FL; his brother Thomas (Dorothy) Stitt of Green Creek; five grandchildren: Justin (Gabrielle) Vitola, Tyler Vitola, Sean McQuillan, Colleen McQuillan, and Kelly McQuillan; and three great grandchildren: Justin, Sophia, and Jason. Funeral services will be private. He was preceded in death by his sister Eleanor Costa and his brother Earl Griggs. I so sorry for the lost of Cookie my boyhood buddy. We did many grazy things and even though we haven't kept in contact I dearly miss him. I wished I could of been and I would have been there if I weren't in the hospital at that time and now recovering at home.Shirely, I know what you are going through and I know it will take time, if there is anything I can do for you please let Dolly or Pal know. Aunt Shirley, Wendy & Melody, I was so saddened to hear of Uncle Cookie's passing. he will be surely missed by all. He is no longer suffering and in good company in heaven I am sure. I can't find the right to express my feelings , other than I know what you are all going through right now. I hope to see you all soon Love Tony
