Bernard Dolan Obituary
Born in Providence, a son of Mary (Maloney) Tarvis and the late Bernard J. Dolan, loving stepson of the late Serafin W. Tarvis. Barney was employed as a dispatcher for Benney's Inc. for 31 years. He also served as a volunteer fireman at Georgiaville Station 2.
Besides his wife and mother, he leaves his loving son, Bernard J. Dolan, Jr. and fiancé Desarae Downs; his loving daughter Amanda P. (Dolan) Matteson and husband Christopher G. Matteson. He was the brother of Gladys Roldan, Maureen Boberg, Mary Millard, Patricia Getter, Julie Castaneda, Donna Bruington and the late Alan Tarvis. He leaves dozens of loving nieces, nephews and godchildren. He also leaves a loving extended family among the Calandrellis, Sangiovannis, Fitzgeralds of Smithfield and the Esposito family of Burrillville. He was loved by many and will be missed by all his friends and family.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 10AM in St. Michael's Church, Farum Pike, Smithfield. Visiting hours Friday 5-8PM in the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave. (Rte.44) Greenville. Burial will be private.
