Over the course of about three years I had the pleasure of getting to know Dot and her family. We can all learn a lesson about strength, character, and courage from them. I watched the Dot and the family scramble things together at every obstacle to do what Dot wanted and what was best for her. Dot will be missed greatly.

God bless Dot and her family. She was my oldest friend. I lived across the street from her from 1953-1958.I remember when her and Georges house was built. She used to let me sit on her back stoop and drink lemonade. I visited with her many times over the years. I could still be the little boy from across the street. Dot was my connection to my childhood. I will miss our conversations! You could learn a lot about how to handle life from her. She will be sorely missed!!
