To the Dahlquist family;
You are in our thoughts and prayers and we pray you will be well. I am one of thousands of grateful 'blood bankers' whose lives were changed by our friend, Dr. Dahlquist. As a past president of AABB, I served with him in the AABB and on numerous other related committees. He was always gracious to help us with various patitent compatibility problems and he was always willing to 'just talk' with you about the profession; he had great ideas. Small of stature but gargantguan in professionalism, he will always be remembered as a unique and invaluable member of the transfusion medicine profession. Like thousands of others, I was a better 'professional' and a better 'man' because of his influence.

Dear Jane, Ma and everyone,
I have so many wonderful memories of your family and Dad in particular, his garden, his humor and his sparkle. I remember one specific conversation with him when he expressed what a wonderful joy and challenge it was to be father to seven and how very much he prized each and every one of you. What a huge heart he had! I was blessed to be so warmly welcomed into his fold. My thoughts and prayers are with you with many fond memories. Nancy (Wellman) Wason

To Ann and the family
Doc was a great person to be with. He brought life to the Glocester Lions, brotherhood and friendship to his Masonic Lodge, and a care for his community where he served on many boards and commission over the years.
Above all though was his love for his family. Florence and I are with you in our prayers knowing he is now peacefully at rest with our lord.

God Bless

I worked in Pathology at RIH and thought so highly of "Dahl" as he was affectionately known. I even took one of his stray cats that he would bring into the lab. My sympathy to you all on the loss of this fine man. Rev. Pat Harrison (former Med.Tech.)
