John Charnley

CHARNLEY, JOHN JACK, JR. 75, of Warwick formerly of North Attleboro MA, passed away on July 1, 2014. Jack was a son of the late John G. Charnley, Sr. and Helen A.(Hughes) Charnley. He was the husband of the late Judith A. (Brennan) Charnley. Loving father of Colleen A. Bragaul and her husband Edward of Cranston, Michael J. Charnley Sr., and his wife Stacey, of West Warwick and the late John "Jack" Charnley III. He was the grandfather of three; Meghan A. Bragaul, Michael J. Charnley Jr. and Ethan W. Charnley. He is also survived by his loving and devoted brother Kenneth J. Charnley of North Attleboro MA, and his wife Donna, also brother of Gerald "Gerry" Charnley, of Warwick. A special thank you to his devoted sister-in-law, Donna. Donna took extra special care of him, before he moved to RI. She would take him to doctors appointments, out to eat, (that Jack loved to do), or just to take him to buy a hanging plant. Jack is also survived by his loving Aunt Anne "Nonnie" (Hughes) Conway of Cranston. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Especially his nephew Kenneth "Ken" Charnley II; Ken would be there for his uncle Jack to shovel his car out in snow storms, which was very important to have his car cleaned off. Jack was always on the go! Jack worked for Stop & Shop in North Attleboro, MA for 20 years, retiring in 2009. After a long illness he moved to Ethan Place, Warwick RI to be closer to his children. Jack loved living at Ethan Place. He loved sports of all kinds especially the "Red Sox". His favorite joy was going out to eat, didn't matter where, but loved to eat. Jack's children took him to Chapel Grill on Father's Day and he loved every minute. His funeral services will be private.
