I worked with Sister at VNA of RI many years ago. Having been taught in parochial schools by RSM's, I was familiar with the nuns and their sometimes stern demeanor but I wasn't intimidated by Sister Margaret (surprisingly). As soon as I told her of my relative who was also an "RSM"(whom she knew) and the other relative who is a priest(whom she knew) she seemed to have a special place in her heart for me. I remember her being quiet and unassuming but still speaking her mind honestly and respectfully - her work ethic was impeccable as was her handwriting which reminded me of the Palmer method of penmanship which the nuns taught us in Catholic school years ago.
I have many, many memories of Sister Margaret and the common setting which brought us together and which we shared - I will never, ever forget this special time in my life and some of the outstanding people who will remain indelible memories - namely Sister Margaret.

Rest in Peace Aunt Margaret. I will always cherish the memories and give you credit for teaching me how to make a bed! I love you and always will. Your niece, Erin

To all the Sistersof Mercy. I was privileged to live next to Sister Margret . She was a loving , caring person. I often helped her and Sister Rose with this and that around the house. I am sad to hear of her passing but know she is now on the other side of the Pearly Gates. Hopefully we will meet again. Rest in eternal peace. I will always remember how kind you were.. my Condolences to Sister Rose and Caroline

My sincere sympathy goes to her friend Sister Rose and to our family. I remember her fondly every Christmas at our house and as a child coming to our beach house. She had a sense of humor as she had 4 brothers who pushed her to the limits. I'll never forget how devoted she was to my Dad when he was so sick. She came just about every day just to sit with him. I know he couldn't talk but it meant the world to him. She helped us through a difficult time with her presence in our time of need. I'm not in town and won't be home for her service but she will be in my heart. She will be with her brothers now and I know she will be in a good place. RIP Aunt Margaret you will be missed..
