93 of Barrington, died on Friday, June 25th. She was loving wife of 70 years to the late George Mihailides. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Helen Vican. Growing up Olga was very close to her 4 siblings (all now deceased) and particularly enjoyed summers at Rocky Beach.
Olga was an outstanding mother to her four sons, second to none. She was home while George worked seven days a week. This meant she was doing everything with her four boys all week, every week. She always did so in a very loving and good-natured way. Olga gave her heart and soul to her family in every conceivable way. She was a lifetime member of the Philoptochos Society and supported the charitable work and endeavors of the organization. Olga was a member of the Philanthropic Organization: Daughters of Penelope, Althea Chapter 112. She was a lifelong member of the Barrington YMCA where she stayed fit and swam each week, a member for over 50 years. Generous beyond words she was class act all the way.
Later in life Olga loved working with her family at Eats' Restaurant in Seekonk, MA. She had her regulars, friends, employees and customers alike. Known for her sharp wit, humor and good nature she was beloved by all. Mom, thank you for everything. You were caring beyond words, intelligent, thoughtful, dutiful never ever complaining. Always putting others first, it is time to enjoy the fruit of all your tireless labor. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted."
Olga is survived by beloved sons, Peter Mihailides, George Mihailides and his wife Diane and Andrew Mihailides and his wife Lise. Tragically, her son Robert (Bobby) Mihailides died in 1990. She was the apple of her husband's eye. So adored by her husband and she has now joined him and her son in paradise. She is also survived by her many loving grandchildren Alexandra, Gregory and his wife Lauren, Eleni, Katerina, Julianna and Nicholas Mihailides.
Calling hours are 9:00 AM – 10:00 A.M. prior to funeral service at 10:00AM at the Church of the Annunciation, 175 Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston, RI. held on Thursday, July 1st ,2021. The funeral will also be live streamed via www.annunciationri.org/live-streaming1. Burial will be private.
