CHAMBERSBURG
David Michael Garland, 67, passed away on Sunday morning, June 5, 2016 at his home. Born December 12, 1948 in Knobsville, PA, he was a son of the late Bruce and Janet Hamil Garland. David was most recently employed in maintenance for Pet Ritz in their warehouse. He enjoyed taking care of his house plants.
David is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lucinda Ulrich Garland, whom he married on January 4, 1982; his son, Corey Gladfelter and wife, Sonay of Greencastle; and two sisters, Sharon Frey of Chambersburg and Virginia Seiders of Bedford. In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by four siblings, John Garland, Clara Jean Hendershot, Christine Hoffman, and Sandra Saylor.
Services and interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road West, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
