Max W. Goetz
January 2, 1932 - September 11, 2016

Max "Jim" W. Goetz, 84, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016.
Born January 2, 1932 in Fayetteville, he was the son of the late Max and Emma (McKenzie) Goetz.
Max served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1953. Jim was a lifetime member VFW Post #1599, lifetime member of Chambersburg Club and a life member of the Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Company. He was employed by TB Woods. Jim enjoyed spending time at his cabin in Fayetteville and was an avid deer and turkey hunter.
Jim is survived by one brother,Tom, five children: Gregory (Kathy) Goetz, James (Rhonda) Goetz, Barbara Fickes all of Fayetteville; Dawn (Ken) Wilhide, Tim Goetz both of Waynesboro; seven grandchildren; Troy, Scott, Kristopher, Jason, Jamie, Kenny Lynn, Amber; eight great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild. He was preceeded in death by his wife Retha one sister and one brother.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
