David Cowlishaw

1966 - 2023

DAVID GLENN COWLISHAW David Glenn Cowlishaw, 57 of Gilbert, MN, left us too soon on September 12th, 2023. David was born in Charles City, Iowa on April 30th, 1966. He spent his younger years living in Worthington, MN before moving to International Falls, MN in the 7th grade. He went on to graduate from Falls High School in 1984 where he was a member of the track team and played varsity football. Following graduation David enlisted in the United States Navy where he spent 4 yearsaboard the USS Carr. He worked as a dry cleaning specialist as well as the ship's barber and was known to his shipmates as 'Hacksaw'. After his discharge he returned home to International Falls where David met, fell in love with, and married Pam Morphet in 1994. Together they grew to build a family having two beautiful daughters. David went on to dedicate his life to law enforcement, public service, and helping others daily. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and Bemidji State University Alumni. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with family, friends, and his grandson Carson. He is preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Cowlishaw, brothers Daniel andJoseph Cowlishaw, and his in-laws Irwin and Jeannie Morphet. He will be sadly missed by his wife Pam, daughters Kaitlyn and Kalleann, grandsonCarson, valued friend Damien, Father James Cowlishaw, Sisters Julie (Jay)Bartkowski,Rebecca (Steve) Joslyn, and Rachel (Josh) Taylor as well as the numerous nieces,nephews, and close friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 29th at the VFW in Gilbert, MNat 2pm.
