When he returned to the US he was stationed at Dale Mabry Field, Tallahassee, FL where he was Operations Officer and left the Army Air Corp as a Lt. Colonel.

Paul enjoyed golf and was a member of SIR's #100 (Sons In Retirement) in Petaluma, the Golden Roosters Trailer Club and the California Cattleman's Association. He was also a member of the Air Force Association and Legion of Valor.

Dearest Elizabeth, Jean, Ralph and famiy. I just heard of your loss, and I am sooo sorry. Your father will be greatly missed, more than we can image right now. Stonewall Jackson's last words were "let us cross over the water and rest in the shade of the trees" and I know that Paul has crossed over the waters and is resting peacefully. Paul was a man of extraordinaire...I didn't know him well personally, but his life experiences have been shared with me many, many times. He is now flying with the angels...where else could he possibly be happier? In the Lord's name, Cynthia, Tehacahpi,

Dear Friends, My heart is with you in your loss . My mind is flooded with such good memories being out at the ranch. I have never met more kind and gentle people than your family, starting with Paul and Elizabeth. Paul a tower of strength, yet such a quiet demeanor. Elizabeth, always a smile, also quiet, and yet what an example of a wife and mother. You can be so proud of having such a man lead your family, as I know you are. I pray for God to comfort you now , knowing that he is with our Dear Lord. With Love
