Dennis J. Ogurick

WALLINGFORD - Dennis J. Ogurick, 64, of Meriden, died peacefully Thursday, April 30, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Joan (Carretta) Ogurick.

He was born in New Haven, Jan. 22, 1951, a son of the late William and Anna (Campbell) Ogurick, and was a graduate of H.C. Wilcox R.V.T.S. and Hartford State Technical College. He worked for Mott Corporation for 32 years as a mechanical designer.

Dennis is survived by his children, Jessica Racco and her husband, Luciano Racco Jr., of West Hartford; and Dr. Patrick Ogurick and his girlfriend, Amy Gould, of Washington, D.C.; his grandchildren, Oliver Racco and Luciano Racco III; his brother, Richard and his wife, Ginny, of Cheshire; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, John and Delma Carretta, of Wallingford; his in-laws, Paula Ogurick, of Waterbury; Sue and Neil Fitch, of Seattle, Wash.; and Tom Carretta, of Wallingford; and many nieces, nephews, and friends, especially Carl and Karen Powers, of California; and Richard Tencza and Anthony Maina, of Meriden. He was predeceased by his brother, David.

His family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Nadkarni and staff for the care that was given to Dennis over the years.

His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Sunday, May 3, from 3 to 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, May 4, at 10:30 a.m. in Most Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford. Those attending the Mass are asked to meet directly at church. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Meriden. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to John J. Nerden R.T.C.
