Ethan Heng Obituary
Born on Sept. 29, 2011 to Catherine Balay and Samath Heng, he was the first grade "Mayor" of Israel Putnam Elementary School and the renowned UNO Champion to all that dare to compete. His compassion for those in need as well his contagious smile made him easy to love. Ethan loved spending time with family and friends, as well as fishing, playing baseball, animals, drawing, McDonald's, Chuck E. Cheese, and he had a great love of music and playing arcades.
Besides his parents, Ethan is survived by his older siblings, Jasmine Hernandez, Alexa Heng, and Kaysin Heng. He is also survived by maternal grandparents, Lucy Cruz and Jose Soto; Miguel Balay and Maria Torres; paternal grandparents Oeun and Heather Heng, along with several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 2, at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, 35 Center St., Meriden. Everyone is asked to gather directly at the church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden on Friday, June 1, from 4 to 8 p.m.
