Mariano Palumbo Obituary

Mariano "Mario" Palumbo, 72, previously of Meriden, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2021. He was born August 3, 1949 in Riardo, Italy, son of the late Luigi & Conchetta (Bonafiglia) Palumbo.

Mario owned & operated Palumbo's Arco station as well as Modestino's Restaurant. Mario moved from Meriden in the late 90's and started his own home improvement business until his retirement in 2020.

To know Mario was to love him. Mario enjoyed most his family, cooking, fishing and boating.

He leaves beloved wife Sandra LaBelle, brother Jerry Palumbo and partner Janie Grazioso, his children, Dannette Nocera and partner Dave Burdick, Pilar Moran and husband Dave, Mario Jr. and wife Jessica, his stepchildren, Laurie LaBossiere and husband Glenn, Carrie LaRoche and husband John, Benjamin LaBelle and partner Katie Spenard, Scott LaBelle and wife Lauren, and nephew Michael Palumbo. He was blessed with 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

A mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 11 a.m., in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 243 Route 164, Preston, CT, followed by a celebration of Life at the Tamarack Lodge Voluntown, CT.
