Kimie Yabumoto, 88 of Stockton, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2007 in Hospice House. Born on December 16, 1918 in Reigo, CA, she was a homemaker for 66 years. A member of the Stockton Buddhist Temple. She was preceded in death by siblings, Shig Nakano, Tak Nakano and Chieko Matsumoto. Kimie is survived by her husband of 66 yars, Shigeru Richard Yabumoto of Stockton. Loving mother of Joe (Vivian) Yabumoto of San Jose, Jean Yabumoto of Sonoma, Judi Yabumoto of San Francisco, Jeff (Nancy) Yabumoto of San Jose and Bill (Joi) Yabumoto of San Jose. Grandmother of 6. Sister of Yosh Kono, Tad Kono, both of Sacramento, Kenso Kono of Los Angeles and Margaret Mitani of New Castle.
Friends are invited to attend services on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. in the Stockton Buddhist Temple, 2820 Shimizu Dr., Stockton. Max Carroll assisting with the arrangements.

Kimie was a patient over in Stockton at West Coast O & P. Her son Joe used to bring his mother in for her appts. Joe please accept my sincere condolances on the passing of your mother. Your Mother was a sweet & kind woman.

To the Yabumoto Family, I extend my deepest sympathies. I know all of her children. The older ones are contemporaries. I coached Bill for a short time in basketball. And I remember Jeff as Joe's little brother.

We were neighbors living directly across the alley for at least 40 years and counting.... Prayers are out to The Yabumoto Family during your Loss.. Kimi would come out into the backyard always had a smile and we always spoke to each other from our backyards thru the fence daily, if not more...
