Stanley Hopps Obituary
Redding, CA
Stanley "Glen" Hopps of Redding peacefully passed away April 21, 2016 at the age of 81. He was surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of his home.
Glen was born in Toronto, Canada October 25, 1934, and moved to California as a boy when his father, John (Bernice) Hopps, was transferred to Campbell's Soup of Sacramento. On a visit back to Canada, he met his future bride, Myra. They were married in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada, July 11, 1958. Soon after, Glen and Myra returned to California, ready to start a family.
Most of Glen's career involved being self- employed.
He retired from the company he started, HP Mouldings, Redding, in 1991.
Glen is preceded in death by his parents John and Bernice Hopps, and his sister Lorraine.
Glen's number one priority was his family. He was very supportive, encouraging, and motivating to his three children Michael, Craig, and Janelle. He spent many days and weekends volunteering at swim meets supporting his children in addition to serving on the board as President of Redding Swim Team. This support was felt by his children all the way to the end. He always wanted his children to be happy and successful, and they can all attest his dream came true.
Glen is survived by Myra, Michael (Jennifer) and their 2 children in Nashville, TN, Craig (Jennifer) and their 4 children in Mission Viejo, CA, and Janelle (Ian) and their 5 children in Auburn, CA.

Dad. There is nothing in life that I don't in some way owe to you and mom. You both were always there for the support or the gentle push when I needed it. I will miss you more than be imagined.

I'll always remember and cherish the memories of our family holiday gatherings, waterskiing at Whiskeytown Lake, and Glen's sage advice. My uncle was a wonderful man and I miss him dearly. May he rest in peace.

Janelle and family: Dennis and I are so sorry to hear of the passing of your precious dad. We remember all of those swim meets that we attended watching you, Craig, and Stefanie race and your parents always there working and cheering you on. He will always be with you in spirit. Love and Hugs.
