Lenore Ellis Obituary
Lenore Violet Ellis of Fall Creek, Oregon, died April 14, 2015, after a brief illness. She was 79. At her request, no service is planned.
Lenore was born January 28, 1936, in Chicago, Ill., to Andy and Tommie Gier. She married Phil Ellis in 1959 in Riverside, Cal.
Lenore graduated from Polytechnic High School in Riverside, Cal., in 1954. She retired from the University of California, Riverside in 1991.
Lenore loved animals, especially her dogs, and generously supported wildlife conservation. She was an active member in the Emerald Valley Women's Golf Club, and recorded her first hole-in-one there in July, 2006.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Laurie Walmer of Atlantic Beach, Fla., and Tracy Ellis of Springfield, Ore.; and three grandchildren, Lindsay Cason, Morgan Ellis and Kelly Cason.
Memorial contributions may be made to Greenhill Humane Society, 88530 Green Hill Rd, Eugene, OR 97402.

Dear Phil Lori and Tracy I am so glad that I got to know Lenore through golfing. She took me under her wing and we became more than just left handed golfing partners! When we were competing her calmness and experiene helped me a great deal and made our team play better.
Our favorite story is when we were at a competition and we went into the clubhouse before the start and when we came out and got into our cart we drove off not realizing for the longest time that we actually drove off in somebody else's cart! When we figured out what we had done we couldn't stop laughing and hurried to get the cart back before we got caught. For years after that we always joked about checking to make sure we were in the right cart.
I hope at this time that you as a family will remember all that she brought to your lives as well.
