DAVID LANCASTER
David Lee Lancaster, 60, beloved husband, father, brother and friend, passed from this life on Thursday, July 12. He was born in Murray, Utah on January 25, 1952, to Melvin and Beth (Beckstead) Lancaster.
Dave was a kind, gentle man who was loved by those who knew him. His love of the Lord, Jesus Christ was the guiding influence in his life.
Dave graduated in 1970 from JordanHigh School in Sandy, Utah and later from Weber State College in 1973. Following graduation, Dave worked for Sperry Univac in Utah and California.
He married his high school sweetheart, B. Jeanne Spray, in June of 1971. The couple was blessed with three children, Torri, David and Sean.
In 1976, the young family moved to Loveland, Colo., where Dave was employed for 35 years with Hewlett-Packard Company.
Dave was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in a variety of callings.
He had a beautiful, tenor voice and loved singing with many groups, most recently The Choice City Singers. Dave also loved the outdoors and fishing with his buddies. Most of all, Dave loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, sister Laurie Dumas and beloved Aunt Leola Halford. He is survived by his wife, three children; five brothers and sisters George (Carol), Gary (Sharon) and Troy (Kari) Lancaster; Juli (Dan) Jerman, Mary (Steve) Nokes, Nonie Lancaster and numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
The family of Dave request that memorial donations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or the National Fragile X Foundation.
Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3800 Mountain Lion Dr., Loveland, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 17. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the services at the church.
