I am so sorry to hear about Nanny. She treated everyone like family and I was blessed to have known her and the Atkins family. She will truly be missed. Much love to everyone who knew her and is feeling this loss.

I am so sorry to see that Nanny Gene has passed away. She was such a wonderful and loving lady. She will always hold a very special place in my Heart, as will everyone in the Atkins Family. I will always be her Little Rooty. With All my Love, everyone will be in my thoughts and prayers. Becky Jean

I am sad to learn of Gene's death. I remember the first time we met and what a welcoming lady she was. She knew and loved her neighbors and encouraged everyone she met. Love to JD and family.
