Jim will be sorely missed in this community. He was truly a pillar, bringing peace all around him. His gentle smile from afar and his handshake from near will always be remembered. Our community has been shaken by this sudden loss. May the peace of our Lord carry his family through this shadow of darkness.

I am forever grateful to have known such a gentleman like Jim. He was a huge part of our team at RPMH, especially in the E.R. His priority was our safety. He had this gentle way of calming combative and aggressive patients. I already miss his morning greetings "Goooood morninnnnng Leeeesa" as he sat in his little office peeking out from behind the Abilene Newspaper. We had our chats about food and he would rave about his wife's cooking and baking. We lost a true American Hero, a pillar of our community and our protector at RPMH.
My deepest sympathy to his entire family and all who knew him.

It was a pleasure knowing you Jim. Rest easy sir. This Marine salutes you.

Jim was my Mother's first cousin. My Granny Hunt and Jim's Dad we're brother and sister. Growing up I was around them quite a bit. My mother always talked about her Uncle Steve Kelley and Joe Rhonda and Jim. I Romberg football games in the front yard and long visits that lasted all day long. Sunday afternoons or birthdays etc. my trips to Routan with Mother always included visits to Steve and Ray Kelley,Homer and Bobbie or Nancy's . God bless everyone of you in this time of his passing . If my Mother was here she would want you to know how precious these Kelley kids were to her.

I have 68 years worth of memories. I will miss Jim so much - in fact, I already do. We lost my other brother just 1 1/2 year ago and that still hurts so much. I will never get over losing both of my brothers and I love them and will love them forever and ever...
