I went to school with and worked with Barry at BK when we were teenagers. Whenever I was having a bad day, Barry always made it a point to cheer me up and made me laugh. Over the years, I often thought of Bear when I was feeling down, and even though it has been nearly 30 years since I've seen him, he would still make me smile. My father passed away on April 7, 2011 and I thought of Barry earlier today. At the time, I didn't know Barry had passed. I came onto this web-site for the first time since Dad died to send the link to some friends and saw Barry's name. My deepest sympathies to the McCray family and friends. I will always be eternally grateful for the profound effect Bear has had in my life and even in my sadness at his passing, my memory of him will continue to make me smile.

I can not find the words for my sadness, Barry was just like a brother to me, we grew up riding the same bus to school from first grade through 12th grade and continued our friendship. On March 29th 2011 he called me in Chicago and told me how good he was doing, 700 miles never ended our friendship, I am truly lost for words, May God be with you my brother.

Heaven needed an angel. Keep them laughing with your jokes.

My sympathy to all of Barry's family. I have always loved Barry, what a sweet fella. He was a super brother-in-law and always had a smile and happy. I had last seen him working at Richfield & he was so proud of his daughter and bragged on her so much. He was one in a million and again, I am so sorry for your loss & my heart goes out to all of you for so much loss in such a short time.
