Charles Isom Obituary

Charles Henry Isom, 91, of Galax, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2007. Charles was born February 27, 1916 in Grayson County, the son of Lonnie and Mae Catron Isom. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sadie Isom. Those left to cherish his memory are his sons and daughters-in-law, James Isom of Galax, Joe and Norma Isom of Fries, Butch and Cathy Isom of Galax and Nick and Joan Isom of Woodlawn; his daughters and sons-in-law, Faye and Steve Semones of Galax, Judy and Ronnie Sharp of Woodlawn and Pam and Gary Hancock of Galax; his brothers and sister-in-law, Albert Isom of Fieldale, Stewart and Ruby Isom of Walkertown, N.C. and Raymond Isom of High Point, N.C.; three sisters, Annabelle Bunn of Galax, Georgia Lineberry of Galax and Edith Gravley of Galax; 17 grandchildren; 3 stepgrandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 3 great-stepgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 6, 2007, at 11 a.m., at First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Cass Horton officiating. Interment will follow at McKenzie Cemetery. Arrangements by Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home, Galax.
