Dwayne K. Swartz, 59, of Buchanan, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and he loved the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by a infant son, Austin Swartz; paternal grandparents, Denny and Virginia Swartz; and maternal grandparents, Myrtle and John Haynes.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Virginia Raye Long Swartz; parents, Larry Wayne Sr. and Shirley Ann Haynes Swartz of Buchanan; children and spouses, Kristopher and Katelynn Swartz of Lithia, Amber and Charles Carter of Springwood, Kelsey Swartz and Benjamin Nank of Cloverdale, Tyler Swartz, and Chandler Swartz of Buchanan; grandchildren, Parker and Preston Swartz, and two on the way; brothers, Darren Lee Swartz and Larry Wayne Swartz Jr. of Buchanan; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Mike Francis.
A memorial service for Kevin will be held at 6 p.m., on Saturday, November 20, 2021, in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan, VA 24066, with Pastor Danny Holdren officiating. Burial will be private.
