Evelyn Virginia Harlow

Evelyn Virginia Harlow, 76, of Buchanan, Va., passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2009, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease. Evelyn was a devoted member and Sunday School Teacher at the First Church of God, where she also served on various committees, helped with Bible School, and sang in the choir. She loved her church and her church family. She was predeceased by her husband, Leon Harlow; parents, Ira and Emma Stilton; brothers, Herman, Don, Frankie and Jim Stilton; sister, Christine; and stepgrandson, Chad Manning. She is survived by her sons, Bruce, Tim and Jeff; daughters, Rebecca Kelley and Melissa Wickham; daughters-in-law, Mona, Linda and Diane; sons-in-law, Wayne Kelley and Barry Wickham; grandchildren, Tatti Stinnette and husband, Robert, Charles R. Harlow and wife, Jen, Tucker, Jessica, Brooke, Brittany, Elijah, Sarah, Michael Harlow and Justin Kelley; great-grandchildren, Autumn and Abigail Stinnette, Tara Harlow and Evan Bryant; brothers, Jack Stilton and wife, Marie, David Stilton and Walter Stilton; sisters, Louise Simmons and husband, Dick and Loretta Green; sister-in-law, Martha Bigelow; and special caregiver and dear friend, Vera Dudding. Funeral services will be held noon on Friday, April 10, 2009, at Oakey's North Chapel with the Rev. James Milner officiating. The interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2009, at Oakey's North Chapel, 540-362-1237.
