Paul K. Justis

Paul K. Justis, 61, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2006. Paul was a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church until it closed in June of 2005 and he then became a member of 9th Street Church of the Brethren. He was a roofer, working many years for R.P. Burton Roofing and Miller Roofing Companies. Paul was preceded in death by his father, Claude R. Justis, Sr. and "Special" brother, H. Winston Cadd. Surviving are his caring and loving mother, Mildred Turner Justis of Roanoke; his brothers, Claude R. Justis, Jr. and wife Dorothy of Moyock, N.C., David A. Justis and wife JoAnne of Vinton, Jerry L. Justis and wife Kathleen of Deltona, Fla.; his sister, Joan Justis Kelley and husband Richard of Roanoke; "Special" sister, Millie Cadd of Highland Springs, Va.; aunt, Virginia Mitchell of Roanoke; numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Nancy Kelly, devoted friend who was there for Paul during the past year; also thanks to Good Samaritan Hospice for all their care for him the last few months. A funeral service will be held at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, Monday, December 18, 2006, 11 a.m. with Pastor Patrick Starkey and Chaplain Marvin Barbre officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
