Deliah Threatt Obituary
Dee was a woman of great faith. She was in the Junior Woman's League of Rocky Mount for around 15 years and served in many capacities. Dee was a faithful member of the Bible Study Fellowship Group at Sunset Avenue Baptist Church. She loved her garden and enjoyed informing Charlie what to do to make it beautiful for her enjoyment. Dee was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, and will be missed by all who knew her.
Dee is survived by her husband of 55 1/2 years, Charles Franklin Threatt, Sr.; her sons, Charles Franklin "Frank" Threatt, Jr. of Tarboro and Daniel "Danny" Hooker Threatt and wife, Robin, of Rocky Mount; her grandchildren, Daniel Hooker Threatt, II and wife, Rachel and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Renee Threatt; her great-granddaughter, Vivian Renneigh Threatt; her sister, Sonya Irene Hooker Smith and husband, Stan; her niece, Dr. Stacy Elizabeth Smith Watson and husband, Bruce; her great-niece, Claire Elizabeth Watson; and her great-nephew, Tyson Jeffrey Watson.
A Funeral Service to celebrate Dee's life will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Billy Webb officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pineview Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Dee's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
