I had the honor of knowing Annabelle, first as a secretary at SF State, as a student in her Graduate classes, and later as a teacher at the Markoff School. She was a gifted educator and those of us lucky enough to learn from her were in awe of her compassion and brilliance. Annabelle was a mentor to me in so many ways...I used her methods and strategies for over 37 years as a special educator, and now share them as I mentor new teachers. Annabelle, your legacy lives on in the children, families, and teachers whose lives you touched so lovingly.

It was a pleasure and privilege to know Annabelle Markoff, my professor and mentor in graduate school. She will always be in my thoughts. Gail and Jerry Harris
