My condolences to the Cook family on your loss. Mr. Cook Sr. will be missed by all those whose lives he touched. I had the pleasure and honor of working for EDSB for 10 years and I always marveled at his stamina and warmth. It seemed that not a day went by without seeing him in the office and he always had a warm smile and greeting (by name!) for everyone. He was a fine example of a man, businessman and father.

Dear Jane and Family,

Our hearts go out to you at this sad time. George was a wonderful man who lived an exemplary life. Despite the demands of a thriving business, he was always committed to his family and faith.

He was a dear uncle who will be sorely missed. His legacy of faith, love, and commitment lives on through all of you. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am so sorry for your loss. If George, Sr. was anything like his son Michael, he was a great person. I personally know Mike as I work for him. It appears as though George was very involved in life and his community. He will be sorely missed. A father holds his children's hands for a while, their hearts forever. May he rest peacefully and may his family rely on his memory and love for healing and peace.

I always found it touching and even inspirational, but not surprising, that Mr. Cook's favorite movie was "It's a Wonderful Life." Indeed, Mr. Cook was the embodiment of the likeable, honest, good-hearted and smart businessman and successful family man that Jimmy Stewart portrayed in that film -- and they even had the same first name. It brings a sad smile to my face to think that George Bailey was standing with St. Peter to greet Mr. Cook at the pearly gates. My solemn condolences to the entire Cook family and to all of Mr. Cook's colleagues and friends.
