Joan Francis Obituary
Born in Camden, Mrs. Francis resided in the Hamilton Township area for the past 50 years.
She retired in 2003, after 25 years of service, as an educational assistant in many of the Hamilton Township elementary schools.
Mrs. Francis was a past president of the Kuser School PTA and the Hamilton Township Educational Assistant Association. She was also a lifetime PTA member, received the Shining Star award from University Heights Elementary School, was a member of the Hamilton Township Ladies Club and was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church in Hamilton.
Mother of the late Mark R. Francis, she is survived by her husband, Harry Francis; a son and daughter-in-law, Garry and Marie Francis; three daughters and a son-in-law, Joan Hornberger, Kathleen Francis and Tricia and Kevin Micharski; a brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Betty Haber of Henderson, NV; seven grandchildren, Tammy, Britney and Emily Francis, Nicole and Ryan Hornberger, Nicholas Saez and Morgan Micharski; special friends, Bobbi Keane and Linda Lovett, as well as many other special friends.
Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Saturday from the Saul Memorial Home, 1740 Greenwood Avenue, Trenton.
Entombment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton.
Family and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Memorial Home.
Memorial contributions in Mrs. Francis's name may be made to the Sunshine Foundation of Mercer County, PO Box 55130, Trenton, NJ 08638.
