He was recruiting UFO Astronauts in my 4th grade class threw a program called young Astronauts. He showed us pictures of planets in our solar system that telescopes couldn't have taken, they seemed to be photos of planets with tourist cameras up close to the planet. I'll never forget his Exclusive pictures of Neptune he had from NASA. I'm telling you, telescopes don't take pictures like that.
He was amoung my all time favorite Teachers. #1 most memorable.

My Grandpa was one of the most amazing grandpas I've had. He would make our trips to see him so much fun. He would always have popsicles and icecream in his freezer for all the grandkids that came over. He would always take us to the park and push us on the swings. He would always let us play with his cool gadgets he had made. He was one of the best grandpas I knew! I miss him so much and I'll always remember him and his loving personality towards all of us grandchildren. He loved all of us so much and was always so excited to see his grandkids. I miss you grandpa and I love you so much!

What a wonderful man! My husband Don was Mel's hometeacher for quite a while. He really enjoyed visiting with him! Yes, he was/is a wonderful man. I visited him in Eskaton and enjoyed all that he said about the love he had for his family.
