Otto Rohwer Obituary

ROHWER, OTTO
Otto Rohwer, retired partner in the law firm Downey, Brand, Seymour, and Rohwer, died in his Sacramento home on Wednesday, June 19, 2002. He was 97. Born on May 30, 1905 in Dixon, CA, he graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1927 and Boalt Hall in 1930. He practiced law with DBS&R for 45 years. He served as Master of Tehama Lodge #3 F&AM, and was President of the Chamber of Commerce, Sutter Club, Grandfather's Club, Exchange Club, and Mt. Ralston Club. He was a member of the Ben Ali Shrine and the Royal Order of Jesters and an elder of Fremont Presbyterian Church. While recognized for his many accomplishments, Otto Rohwer will be remembered for his unswerving integrity, loyalty to his friends, and great love for his family. He will be deeply missed by many. He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Helene Rohwer, daughters Barbara Harsch of Sacramento, Marilyn Kinikin of Sacramento, and Catherine Luckett of San Luis Obispo, CA, sons-in-law George Harsch, Ben Kinikin, and Richard Luckett, 6 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his son Robert Otto Rohwer. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, June 28 at 11:00 AM at Fremont Presbyterian Church, 5770 Carlson Dr, Sacramento, CA. Donations may be made to Shriner's Hospital or the Fremont Presbyterian Church Building Fund.
