Steven SCHWARTZ Obituary
SCHWARTZ, Steven
Age 28, of Orangevale tragically passed away on Oct 13, 2012. He graduated from Jesuit High School and obtained his B.S. in Computer Engineering and teaching credential at CSU Sacramento. He then taught math at Cristo Rey HS. Since 2009 he had been employed at Intel. His life revolved around his faith in God and ensuring that his family was happy and taken care of. He is survived by his wife Alyssa, son Steven Ezekiel, parents Brian and Yvonne Schwartz, siblings Kevin and Tracy, grandparents David and Margarette Schwartz and Reece Griffith. Preceded in death by his grandmother Marjorie Griffith. Visitation is Fri, Oct. 19, from 4-8pm with a Rosary at 6PM at PRICE FUNERAL CHAPEL (6335 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights). Funeral Mass is at 10AM Sat, Oct. 20 at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH (1040 39th St. Sacramento).

We were neighbors of the Schwartz family years ago. Our daughter Megan was in Steven's class at St. Mary's School. We are so sorry for the families loss. We saw his picture with his wife and baby on tv. He looked so happy. Our thoughts are with you all. The Demmel Family

Today, we laid Steven to rest. I was honored to be apart of Steve's life as his aunt. The day could not have been more blessed. The outpouring of love felt at the church, the cemetery, and the reception was overwhelming. God is truly happy to have him in his arms. Thanks and praise to all.

Alyssa, baby Steven, Chavez, and Schwartz families,
Words simply cannot express how saddened we are with your loss. Steven was always so polite and a joy to be around. I loved the way he cared for Alyssa and baby Steven and the joyfulness he provided them and others around him. While I have only a few memories of him every time he was around I could feel the happiness and peacefulness and sense that he was a great man of God. I am continually praying for you. We love you.

I didn't know Steven but when I saw his friends on the news & said he was a "Man for Others", I knew he went to Jesuit. I was vary saddened to hear that you have lost your son. Although I never met him, and it has been years since I seen the both of you, I am sure that without a doubt that he was blessing to you and your entire family. Mr. Schwartz & Family,
Mr.Schwartz you were an AMAZING man & teacher. You had such a GREAT sense of humor, and the kindest words. I remember I'd see you walking through the halls and I'd yell "Hi Mr.Schwartz & you would turn to me & smile & wait for our SPECIAL hi five"! It was the greatest moments. I also remember how I always thought I could beat you at Rock, Paper, Scissors but it never quite worked out, if you count the score it was probably about 30-5. You taught me so much and I am VERY thankful to have been blessed by your presence.
Family, I am truly sorry for your loss. Mr. Schwartz was an amazing person with such a big heart. He is now our angel up above watching over us. My prayers & my dearest condolences go out to your family.

I am so sadden I never met Steven, but reading everything about him, he was a very special Father, son and friend. It was so touching to talk to Yvonne today. It was like the good old days…Sutter jr. High. I believe Steven was special thats why god wanted him , like he wanted my son Scottie. I cannot understand why, but there must be a bigger picture that we cannot see and understand. Mr. Schwartz taught Mathematics at my former high school, Cristo Rey High School Sacramento. He was a great teacher to my class-mates, Class of 2011, and to the upper class-men, Class of 2010. He was an amazing teacher, as well as someone that the we could talk to. As I heard the news of Mr. Schwartz's passing, I was studying for a Pre-Cal Midterm at Humboldt State University. In honor of Schwartz, I will continue to look back, on how he pushed us to strive, and become the student he saw and knew that would succeed at Cristo Rey, and beyond. All of the students that he taught succeed, and continue to grow. I know that he has touched many of the lives in the Cristo Rey Community. Sending sincere, condolences, as well as prayers towards the family of Schwartz. You will be missed.

It was a true pleasure to have known Steve and I will miss hearing his laughter among our circle of friends. We have a ton of great memories. The first time I met Steve he was sporting long, bleached blonde hair (he was 18 in all fairness). He was funny, kind, and so very intelligent. My heart goes out to Alyssa, Steve Jr. and of course Steve's parents and siblings. I'm thinking of you all during this difficult time.

Oh my goodness...I cannot completely understand the depth of your loss. I can only imagine and am so deeply sorry. One more of our blessed family is now in heaven with FR Dave and my dad and the others that are comforting Steven. I want you all to know we are thinking of you and sending love and prayers your way at this time. Bob and I will stop during the 6 year old grandson's birthday on Saturday to send Steven and all of you our thoughts of genuine love and comfort. We hope he would agree we should be there. We hope you FEEL our presence even though we cannot be there in person.
IF there is anything we can do, please call on us. Uncle D and Aunt M, as grandparents we see God's all encompassing arms around you as you bear another loss...we join him and love you so much.
Brian and Yvonne, we mean this for you too, the parents, we completely relate and are here, even if just for a chat. Alyssa, even though we don't know you well, even if just for an ear that understands and cares about this family I would be happy to be that voice of comfort and listen.
The truth is that I know the WHOLE entire family and those of us extended family feel it as well. Please include us in the talking and grieving, we would be honored to be here for you.
