William Daniels Obituary

DANIELS, William Everett
Age 91, of El Dorado County, California, took his last journey home on January 8, 2008, from Peoria, Ariz. William was born on May 20, 1916, on the Greenstone Rancheria in Shingle Springs, Calif. He has been preceded in death by his parents Lillie Daniels, Lawrence Daniels and Francis C. Coval; two wives, Amy and Nettie; three brothers, George Coval, Llewellyn Daniels, Raymond Daniels; five sisters, Julia Acuna, Elsie Daniels, Alda Tripp, Thelma Ryberg, Delorse Hoover; son William E. Daniels Jr; three grandchildren, Phillip Lewin, Denise Lewin and Daniel Martinez; and a great-grandson, Christopher Molena. He will be deeply missed and is survived by: his son Kay Lewin of Placerville, Calif.; two daughters, Sandra Pratt of Pollock Pines, Calif., and Carla Minor of Peoria, Ariz.; ten grandchildren, Tony Lewin of Texas, Diane Lewin of Calif., Deborah Tulysewski of Calif., Jacqueline Young of Calif., Toni Botta of Calif., Fawncine Wilden of Ariz., DeeAnne Minor of Ariz., William Minor of Ariz., Lysa Daniels of Calif., and Tim Daniels of Calif.; 27 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. William was a 1935 graduate of El Dorado County High School in Placerville, Calif. During the war he belonged to the Boilermakers welding ships in the Bay Area. He retired as a Teamster after driving truck for 30 years throughout California, Oregon, and Nevada. He loved playing pool with his friends in Pollock Pines, and cutting wood. He was also a lifetime member of the West Sacramento Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1762. He was a tribal member of the Miwok Tribe of the El Dorado Rancheria. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: Miwok Tribe of the El Dorado Rancheria, PO Box 1284, El dorado, CA 95823. Memorial Services to be Saturday, February 16, at 12:00 p.m. at the El Dorado Community Church 4701 Church Street El Dorado, CA 95623. Burial is pending.
