Wilmoth Laugenour Obituary

LAUGENOUR, Wilmoth
Louise
Died at her home on Sunday, July 4, 2004, with her children at her bedside. She was 82 years old. Born on August 25, 1921 in Fremont, NB, Willi moved to Woodland, CA when she was two years old. She attended Dingle Elementary and Woodland High School, graduating in 1939. She got to know her future husband, Eugene Laugenour Jr., while they both sang in the church choir, and later were married in San Francisco. As a married woman and a mother, Willi believed in being resourceful, living a clean life, and doing things with her family. Many activities throughout her life were centered around the family home in Sacramento, or Fremont Presbyterian Church. Willi had an amazing spirit about her, and was always ready for some sort of adventure. She enjoyed her life and the many people that she met along the way. Her favorite treat was a Vic's extra-thick milk shake, or a good dinner at the Pheasant Club. Wilmoth was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Laugenour Jr. on April 7, 2001, and is survived by her three children, Stephen Laugenour and wife Teri of Woodland, Susan Raffetto and husband Peter of Sacramento, and David Laugenour and wife Debbie of Auburn. She is also survived by grandchildren, Sean Morrison and wife Mollie, Kelly Laugenour and husband Josh Jimerfield, Jill Laugenour, Tom and Mark Laugenour, Mike and Katie Raffetto; and great-granddaughter, Moseley Morrison. A private family burial was held Thurs., July 8th at Mary's Cemetery in rural Yolo County. A memorial service is scheduled at 1:00pm Tuesday, July 13th at Fremont Presbyterian Church, 5770 Carlson Drive, Sacramento. The family requests memorials to be directed to Young Life Sacramento. Klumpp Funeral Home of Sacramento is assisting the family with arrangements.
