Frances Alley Obituary
SALISBURY - Mrs. Frances Harkey Alley, 80, of Salisbury, went to her eternal home with our Lord, Saturday, January 17, 2009.
She was born January 24, 1928, in Rowan County to the late Daniel Monroe Harkey and Mary Crowell Harkey. She was educated in the Rowan County Schools. She was married to the late Albert Lee "Skeet"Alley.
She was the beloved mother of Randy Lee Alley of Salisbury. She is also survived by her sister, Louise Harkey Trexler, of Franklin, TN who she loved dearly; several brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws who were very special to her; and a number of cherished nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Trading Ford Baptist Church Joy Club, and the North Carolina Chapter of the Eastern Star.
Visitation: 4:00 - 6:00 PM Sunday, January 18, 2009, at Summersett Funeral Home.
Services: Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, January, 19, 2009, in the Summersett Memorial Chapel with Rev. Julie O'Neal of Bethel United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Rowan Memorial Park.
Memorials: Memorials may be made to the building fund at Bethel United Methodist Church, or the education fund at Bethel United Methodist Church. They may be sent to Bethel United Methodist Church, 2380 Long Ferry Rd., Salisbury, NC 28146.
