Chu-hwa Tsui Obituary

"Margaret"
Beloved widow of Teh-chang Tsui and loving mother to Ellen Ouyang, Salt Lake City and Ted Tsui, Monterey, California, died peacefully March 14, 2013 at Emeritus Senior Living in Salt Lake City. Born in WuXi, China on June 4, 1918, she was the first-born of six children born to Zhen-yong Chu and his wife Hui-lian Wu. She studied in schools in Peking and married Teh-chang Tsui on July 5, 1941 in Xian, China. He preceded her in death in January of 2009.
When the family relocated following World War II, she worked as a school teacher in Taiwan. Along with her husband, she immigrated to the United States in 1975, settling in Salt Lake City. She became a citizen in 1976 and worked at LDS Children's Hospital from 1976 through 1986.
She enjoyed many activities in her retirement, including traveling, spending time with her grandsons, knitting, and visiting with her family and many friends. She was an exceptional cook, and took many specialty classes to enhance her skills. She was also an expert at freehand antique machine embroidery.
She is also survived by her sister, Zhu-lin Zhang of Washington, DC, her grandchildren Glenn Ouyang of Buena Park, California and Richard Ouyang of New York City, and great-grandchild Ysabella Ouyang.
The family would like to acknowledge the care provided by Emeritus staff, particularly those in the Memory Care unit.
Family and friends are invited to attend services at 12:00 pm at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah on Saturday, March 23rd. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: The Larkin Mortuary.
