Clyde Ashton Obituary

Clyde Art Ashton, age 37, passed away in his sleep on June 23, 2002 after a long and courageous battle with diabetes and kidney failure. He was born February 20, 1965 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Art C. Ashton and Merla G. Ashton. Clyde attended dialysis three times a week and was on the kidney transplant list. Through all of this, he still managed to have a smile on his face and a positive attitude. He was a long time employee of Smith's Food and Drug and will be remembered for being a hard worker. He attended school in Salt Lake City and majored in art. One of his projects won honorable mention in the State Fair. Clyde is survived by his father and mother; sisters: Helen and Holly; and brothers: Vern and James; and aunts, uncles nieces and nephews.  Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 27, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park (3401 So. Highland Dr.) Friends and family may call at Russon Brothers Mortuary (255 So. 200 E., Salt Lake City) from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Kidney Dialysis Center of Utah. Clyde was a kind and generous soul to all of those who knew him, even "Gabby," his pet terrier, and we will all miss him very much. Online guestbook at www.russonmortuary.com
