Dear Pratt Family,
I hope you are still visiting this website and that you will receive this message, as I have just learned of Cynthia's passing. So many of your family members' lives intertwined with members of my family. I want to send my deepest sympathies for your "loss." It is hard to have a sibling pass on at what we may think is too early of a time. It is even harder for a parent to lose a child. My hope is that your faith and knowledge of eternal life will bring you the comfort and peace that you seek.

Cynthia,
You meant more to me than a mother-in-law. Words cannot express what you truly were for me. I will forever miss you. Even as I type and my eyes fill up with sadness, I know you are with me and all of our family. You were truly a light in this world that will never be forgotten. Thank you for everything you did for me, and everything you were to me. I love you now and always.

I had the pleasure of working with Cynthia for many years in cytology at LDS Hospital. I learned so much form her. I always made sure she agreed before I signed out a difficult case. I have missed her expertise these past few years but now I will also miss her smile. Jim Avent, MD.

When I moved out to SLC, shortly after being married in Michigan, you took over as my mother 9 years ago. You met my 10 day old daughter as we had to move back to Michigan 6 years ago. I wish I would have had more time to spend with you in this life. You were the most wonderful and gracious woman I've ever known. I love you and miss you terribly,

Lindsay, I was very sad to hear about your mom's passing. I know you were very close to her. I hope you will be blessed with our Hevenly Father's spirit and will feel his loving arms around you during these difficult days. What a dear sweet sister and neighbor. I loved being around you. Your zest for life was contagious. I loved your personality and true love for others. Thank you so much for the opportunity to perform service for you. You always made me feel like no one could have done the work better than I did. You were always thinking of others and found ways to uplift them. What a sweet caring person you have been to me. You will be missed by all of your neighbors. Dear Pratt Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I grew up across the street from your family. I remember that I always thought to myself that it must have been so much fun growing up in your family.
Although I didn't know Cynthia very well because I was much younger than she was I remember her beautiful smile.
Grief can be so hard, but your special memories of her will help you cope. I also lost my sister Lori a few years ago. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family at this very difficult time.

incredible dignity and grace all while battling a merciless disease.
Thank you for always being the best friend to one of my best friends-your daughter, Lindsay. I always envied the relationship the two of you had. I know that she will always carry your strength with her.

I'm so lucky to have worked with Cynthia and even more lucky to have developed a long term friendship with her over the years. We laughed our way through so many good and bad events in our lives. I will miss her forever.

Derek and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was such a beautiful person, I consider myself lucky to have had the opportunity to meet her, even if only a handful of times. She was so genuine and kind and treated me like gold for no reason other than my friendship with Danni. I imagine she touched everyone she met the way she did me, and people that lovely are rare. Her passing will be mourned by many. Much love.

I LOVED your mom when we were kids! She was so sweet and supportive of you. I remember her always being so happy with a big bright smile on her face. I'm so sorry for your loss- after loosing my brother I find so much comfort in knowing I will see him again! Know that she is always with you and you will be together again forever!! Dear Cynthia and Family,
How could I forget you as a student at Hill View School. I was honored to be your sixth grade teacher. You played the piano while I led the singing as I tried to teach music. You were the kindest, most helpful, always smiling, ever ready to help your fellow students. Yes, you were a winner is all areas of the human spectrum.
I've been in the educational world and retired after 37 years in many roles but you were one that I will never forget because of your example of love and kindness for your fellow human beings.
