I remember Gladys with fondness and humor. But I also remember there was always food in the fridge and an extra place at the dinner table for unexpected friends and guests. I'm so very sorry to hear of her passing. She was a very unique person and will be greatly missed. I'll always remember her...

At times, I didn't feel like talking, and didn’t feel good to, But you never understood
You always said you wished I'd call,
I wish I would have to, Just to say how important you are
I could have shown my love so much more, You helped me raise my kids. Now it's too late to do or say all those things, I wish.
No way to ease the pain inside my heart, now when I am sad And this is just the start.
You were my "Anchor" once upon a time, my strength when I was sad.
You were the "Rock" that I clung to, a place where I could turn
The ravages of time have worn your will and spirit and took my "Rock" to soon.
You can shed some tears now that she is gone, And smile because she lived.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother/sister. I was so saddened and shocked by the news. Gladys was always fun to be around and I'll have fond memories of the time we all went to Vegas to see the Trinidad/De la Hoya fight.

Thank you for your friendship. You supported me and my family when I moved to New York. I am so grateful to have you has a friend. You will always be with us. Im sorry for the loss of Gladys. I havent seen her for so many years,but i do remember when we were all so young all my brothers and sisters and i and we would go visit Art and Gladys when they lived in Midvile.I remember we had alot of fun in those days just being kids and playing out in the streets with all my cousins and Gladys was always so nice to all of us

To the entire Ortiz / Archuleta Family,
My heart and prayers are with all of you during this time. May we all remember the fond memories that we shared with Gladys over the years. Personally, I will always remember that warm, warm feeling that I received every time I entered her home to find many family members watching movies and enjoying the wonderful home cooking she would prepare for everyone.
I will always cherish the time Gladys and I shared in the kitchen at the 3 Alarm, she taught me how to work smarter instead of harder when preparing meals for our large families and gatherings.
So many great times to remember, as a young girl growing up asking questions and sharing moments with her to a young lady going out dancing with her and all the girls, even traveling miles away for a pro boxing match, oh how she loved Trinidad.
Gladys, “You opened your door to everyone! You were a wonderful lady. Thank you for being a second mom to me and thank you for being such a wonderful friend & neighbor to my mom and also giving me such a wonderful friend in your daughter, Joann. I will always love you and miss you!”
