Murray, Utah —Ionna "Jenny" Margaritis, 91 passed away on September 7th surrounded by loved ones. Jenny was born on April 15 and April 16, 1930 to Gus and Maxine Psarras. She grew up in Salt Lake City, graduated from East High School and attended Stevens-Henager Business College. Jenny was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and member of the Greek Orthodox Church. She enjoyed a long career in the mortgage loan servicing industry finally retiring at age 83. Jenny was a determined woman who loved roses, animals, cooking, painting and her family. She was both creative and pragmatic and possessed a wonderful sense of humor. Jenny is survived by her children Milton W. Margaritis (Kathy Furse), Vangie (Kirk) Walker, Maxine Margaritis and granddaughter's Jaime (Justin) Morse, Brittni Walker and great grandson Wyatt Morse. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings Ernest Psarras, Angela Patrakis, and Nick Psarras. We are grateful for the love and support of family, friends, neighbors and caretakers. We will miss our mother dearly. Memorial services will be held from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM on Monday, September 13 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 279 South 300 West in Salt Lake City. Funeral services will follow at 12:30 PM. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Greek Orthodox Church of Greater Salt Lake or Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.
