Katherine Wilford Horton We Join In Celebrating You! Katherine Wilford Horton, age 75, passed away on March 10, 2008. She was born on July 11, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Andrew Joseph Wilford and Marcile Gerstner. Katherine attended East High and the University of Utah and married Dexter S. Horton on July 2, 1955 in Karlsruhe, Germany. Mom, sister, grandma, when our world is crashing down it is your strength, love and passion for life which inspires us all. From your oldest son, Steven, your determination in the face of adversity never wavered, I'm proud you are my mother, I love you. From your only daughter, Julie, your friendship and kindness will be honored forever and your strength and creativity will always be alive in me, I love you so much. From your husband, Dexter, your sons who passed, David and Justin, you loved them - they pay tribute to you this day. From your son Derek, I love you for showing me how to be strong and independent. From your son, Dan, Mom, you mean more to me than anything and I'll always remember our Christmas dinners and the Holiday spirit you brought into my life. From your youngest son, Paul, your strength, elegance, love and kindness will live with me forever. From your grandkids, we love you Grandma and will miss you forever. From your dear brother Ronald, he loves and adores you and will miss you deeply. Your brothers and sisters will dearly miss you. Together we, your family and those special friends celebrate you as you have inspired all of us in such unique and personal ways. We will never look at a beautiful bouquet without thinking of your love for flowers. We will never stand in the face of adversity and let it win. We are together and strong. Looking to celebrate all that you are to each of us and continue to build, love, respect and celebrate life and it's challenges. We miss you dearly and you will be alive in us as you have inspired a strong legacy. We miss you so much. We love you. From all of us. Services will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Chapel, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah. There will be a viewing on Friday, March 14, 2008 from 6- 8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.

Paul, Julie and family, we send you and your mom love and prayers. Quinn told us about what a radiant Light your mom was and what a privilege it was to spend time together in January. Quinn said being with your mom was "magical."
