Randy Gundersen Obituary

2/1/1970 ~ 8/18/2013
Our beloved son, brother, and husband passed away Sunday morning, with his beloved wife, Clara, at his side.
Randy is the son of Joyce Meyers (Dean) and brother to Lisa Ehlers (Mark) and Van Gundersen (Mary). Randy has stepsons; Charles and Brandon and grandchildren; Charlee, Carson, and Mikayla whom he dearly loved.
Randy loved the outdoors, fishing and camping at Vernon Reservoir, and golfing. One time he even hit a hole in one of 180 yards at McRiley. Randy had many talents and gifts that he shared with his family.
We would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Huntsman Cancer Institute for the love and care that was shown to him and our family members. We are so grateful to all who shared their love for him. A special thanks to the Pierce family for the comfort and help they brought to the family.
Our lives have changed forever. Son, your courage and strength will never be forgotten. I am so blessed to be called your mother.
Preceded in death by his Aunt Carolle and Grandma Jessie.
A viewing will be held at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 W. 4100 S., on Wednesday evening from 6-8 for family and friends. The funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Deerfield Ward, 5400 W. 4322 S., with a viewing one hour prior to services at the church. www.valleyviewfuneral.com

Mom, Lisa, Duke and families, We were so sorry to hear of the loss of Randy. Although I haven't seen him for a while I can say he was the same as an adult as he was when we were kids. Funny, Outgoing and just plain Happy. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. We love you all.

Randy
You touched so many lives here, especially your loving, and devoted wife Clara. We are so blessed to have got to know you, enjoyed the union of you, and Clara.
We had wonderful times when we would get together playing pool, and visiting. Those times will be forever embedded into our hearts, and minds.
We send our condolences to Clara, and to the entire family at this time of sorrow. God Bless you all.

Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very
dear.

Your friends Shaun/Dave
