I can't get you out of my mind the past few weeks - with your birthday just passing and Christmas arriving, seems so weird that you're not here. There is such a void in our family now and you are missed so much. I'm so thankful for everything you have taught me and done for me and I really miss talking to you. I know I was selfish for wanting you to stay here even though you were in pain - that's the only thing that comforts me is knowing you are no longer in pain. I'm thankful you left this world knowing how much you were loved. Thanks for being my Dad! Love & Miss You, Cindy

Once In a while a person comes along that Is a man of all men. Dick was such a man when he married Joan he took on 6 kids and never waiverd. He raised the kids as they were his own.He did so with out a blink of an eye.And no regrets loving them as they were his and to him they were. Then my mom (Bette) moved next door he made sure she had everything she needed. In fact we all said he now had two wifes.Iam so proud to call you Uncle Dick.Thank you for everything you have done for my mom and everyone.I will miss you and I love you Uncle Dick.I know now you are at peace no pain no suffering. If I can turn out to be just half the man you were I will be ok. I love you.

Cindy this is a day that we have talked about and prayed it would never happen. Dick is such a great Dad to you and your brother and sisters and yes of course me. He filled the void in our lives that we didn't have from our fathers. As the quote you would always say anyone can be a fatherit takes someone special to be a dad. He was and is such an awesome man, I have so many memories when we were younger that even when he said he knew all along oh man he knows now!!! and he is just is shaking his head at us!!! I sure loved him and he will always be watching over you and your mom and family. I love you so much you will never know, I am oh forever greatful for you all.

I knew Dick and his wife in about 1957 when he and his wife lived in Kearns, when I was a foster child at the age of 9 or 10. I have often wondered what happened to him. I am sorry to hear of his passing.
