Selma Elaine Lundstrom Kofoed

Selma Elaine Lundstrom Kofoed 5/28/28 ~ 1/4/04  Our mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Selma Elaine Lundstrom Kofoed, age 75, passed away peacefully Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004 at Crosslands Rehabilitation Center, Sandy UT.  "Elaine" was born May 28, 1928 in Logan, UT to A. G. and Selma Olson Lundstrom. She had a twin brother, Carl Edward, who passed away shortly after birth. She married Ralph L. Kofoed on July 14, 1948 in the Logan LDS Temple, later divorced. She was educated in Logan City schools and attended Utah State Agricultural College. She has resided in Salt Lake City since 1952 and has been an active member of the LDS Church, having served in many organizations throughout her life. In 1982 she served a mission for the church in Rapid City, South Dakota. She has done secretarial and genealogy work throughout her life and retired from ZCMI Credit office in 1983. She is survived by her three sons and one daughter and their spouses: Dr. Kenneth R. (Lynn) Kofoed, Layton UT; Jay A. Kofoed, Taylorsville, UT; Susan (Rex) Carlisle, Sandy, UT; and Val O. (Lori) Kofoed, Fillmore; two sisters: Cleo (John) Olson, Payson; Lucille (Ted) Ferguson, Logan; 16 grandchildren and one great- grandchild. Preceded in death by her parents; sister Helen and brother Ralph. Funeral service for "Elaine" will be held on Friday January 9, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holladay 1st Ward 4568 South Holladay Blvd, Salt Lake City. Friends may call on Thursday evening at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, Salt Lake, from 6 to 8 p.m. and again at the church from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 am prior to the services. Interment: Logan City Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Funeral Directors: The Holbrook Mortuary.
