Armando Elizondo Obituary

Mr. Armando L. Elizondo, Jr. went to be with the Lord on June 28, 2004 at the age of 72. Mr. Elizondo was preceded in death by his son, Andrew Elizondo; brother, Edward Elizondo. Mr. Elizondo is survived by his wife, Mary H. Elizondo; son, David and Christine Elizondo; daughter, Bertha Casas; brothers, Ernest, Alex and Juan Elizondo; grandchildren, David Eric Elizondo, David Tucker, Jr., Amanda M. De Leon and Mike-Daniel De Leon. Mr. Elizondo was a Veteran of the Korean War and was awarded the Korean Service Medal with one Bronze Service Star, UN Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He played golf for the Northside Golf Association, played pool for the San Antonio 8-Ball Association, member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of VFW Post No. 9186. Visitation began at 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at Palm Heights Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at Palm Heights Mortuary. Funeral Procession will depart Palm Heights Mortuary at 8:45 A.M. on Thursday, July 1, 2004 for a Mass to be celebrated at 9:15 A.M. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Military Honors. Services entrusted to Palm Heights Mortuary.
