Charles McClintick Obituary

MAC" McCLINTICK Charles R. McClintick, Jr. passed away on Friday, May 9, 2003 after a long battle with a rare and inoperable cancer. He was born in Odessa on December 27, 1942. "Mac" is survived by his parents, Constance and Dr. Charles "Chili" McClintick; brother, Lee, his wife, Elise and brother, Clyde Perry; also daughter, Katherine Scrivano and her husband Christopher and grandson, Joshua who reside in Atlanta, GA; as well as his nephew, Lee Marshall who resides in California with his wife Jennifer; his beloved companion for over 20 years, Helen Turner, resides in San Antonio. Mac's early years were spent in San Antonio, but he graduated from high school at the Oak Hill Academy in Virginia. After a tour of duty in the Air Force, including overseas service as a medic, he completed his education at Georgia State University. He was an avid Harley biker and loved riding with his many friends here in Texas as well as coast-to-coast. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at the Laurel Heights United Methodist Chapel at 227 West Woodlawn at 11:00 A.M. The Pastor John Hargis will be officiating. Interment will be at Fort Sam Houston for family members. The family extends its appreciation to the staff of Audie L. Murphy Memorial Veterans Hospital for the kind and considerate care provided to Mac. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Mac's favorite charity, For The Love of Kids for Harleys, attention: Rugger, Alamo Harley Davidson, 11005 IH 35 North, San Antonio, TX 78233.
